Join our 6-Week Mindfulness & Meditation Course

Led by Hanne Mogensen—a lecturer at FFHS in mindfulness, experienced meditator, and teacher. This course not only teaches how to meditate but also explores why these practices work and the science behind them.
 

Whether you’re new to meditation or looking to deepen your existing practice, Hanne will guide you through a comprehensive curriculum covering essential techniques, practical applications, and the deeper why behind meditation’s transformative effects.
 

Attend in-studio or online, and if you miss a class, no worries—recordings will be available for 3 days! Each week includes guided practices, group discussions, and engaging homework assignments to reinforce what you’ve learned and integrate it into your daily life.

 

Please Note: When you sign up, you’re committing to the entire 6-week course—not individual classes. This structure ensures a progressive learning experience and a deeper integration of the teachings.

What You’ll Learn:
  • Week 1: Introduction to Meditation & Breath Awareness. Build a strong foundation with introductory meditation techniques, and explore breath awareness.

  • Week 2: Mindfulness & Present-Moment Awareness. Explore the concept of mindfulness and its benefits. Engage in mindful breathing exercises and learn to navigate distractions with greater ease, cultivating a sense of presence in your daily life.

  • Week 3: Body Scan & Deep Relaxation. Delve into body awareness through body scan meditation. Learn to release physical tension and deepen your somatic awareness, helping you connect with your body’s natural wisdom and promote relaxation.

  • Week 4: Observing Thoughts & Emotions. Develop skills to observe your thoughts and emotions without judgment. Learn to identify patterns of reactivity and enhance emotional balance, creating a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

  • Week 5: Loving-Kindness & Compassion. Focus on cultivating positive emotions through loving-kindness meditation. Experience the power of gratitude and compassion, enhancing your overall well-being and improving relationships.

  • Week 6: Integration & Establishing a Long-Term Practice. Reflect on your journey and create a personalized meditation plan for sustained practice. Discuss strategies for overcoming challenges and integrating mindfulness into your daily life.


After the course, you’ll also have the option to join our Annual December Meditation Journey, a daily meditation series to keep the momentum going through the holiday season!
By then, you will be well-equipped and ready to embark on your own meditation journey at home - with or without guidance.

Course Details:
  • Instructor: Hanne Mogensen, Lecturer at FFHS in Mindfulness, yoga teacher and human who also sometimes has a lot of noise in her mind :-)

  • Format: In-studio & online (recordings available for 3 days). You can switch between studio and online formats as needed.

  • Duration: 6 weeks

  • Meeting Times: Mondays from 17:30 to 18:30.

  • Dates: 21st of Oct, 28th of Oct, 4th of Nov, 11th of Nov, 18th of Nov and 25th of Nov. 2024

  • Includes: Weekly homework and practice reflections.

  • Cost: 140 CHF

Continuing Education for Yoga Teachers

If you are a Yoga Alliance-approved teacher, you can earn 6 hours of continuing education for this training. Hanne Mogensen is registered as a YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider), ensuring that your participation contributes to your professional development.
